Description

Liddon House is a Grade II listed building located on South Audley Street in the City of Westminster. Originally built as a branch parish infants school in 1841, it underwent alterations in 1913. The building features a stock brick side and east elevation facing St. George's Gardens, while the front is finished in stucco and is situated at the northeast corner of Grosvenor Chapel. It has two storeys with a one-window front towards the street and a three-window wide return, providing ample fenestration towards the gardens.

The stucco street front is notable for its elaborately inswept Dutch gable, which includes a centrally placed pilastered doorway topped with a modillion cornice entablature and a broken scrolled pediment. Above the entrance, there is a first-floor window that is semicircular arched and features a glazing bar sash within an architrave surround, flanked by pilasters. Additionally, there is a lunette in the gable.
