In the entry for: TQ2880SE HILL STREET W1 80/11 (north west side) 24.2.58 No 36 GV II The description shall be amended to read as follows: Terraced house, linked to nos. 58-59 South Street (qv) by an underground corridor. Mid C18. Brown brick, slate roof. Four storeys and basement. Five windows wide. First floor plat band, stone bracketed cornice at third floor level. Revealed glazing bar sashes under flat guaged red brick arches. Stone doorcase to right with consoles and cornice. Wroughtiron area railings. Interior has a front compartment staircase up to first floor, cut string with turned balusters etc, at first floor level the walls have Rococo panels in the manner of William Kent separated by stucco pendants; formerly with canvases painted by Rex Whistler in 1936.
