Description
No. 7 Hill Street is a terrace house built around 1748, with early 19th-century features and some later alterations. The building is constructed of painted brick and topped with a slate roof. It stands four storeys high, including a basement and a dormered mansard. The façade has three windows, with a channelled stucco ground floor that features a square-headed entrance on the left and a tripartite window. The upper floors have later revealed casements set beneath flat gauged red brick arches. There is a main stucco cornice and a blocking course at the top. Wrought iron balconettes adorn the first and third floors, and there are cast iron area railings. The original lead rainwater head is also present. This building is listed for its group value with other nearby structures.
