Description
No. 35 Hill Street is a terraced town house built around 1760-1770. It features a red brick exterior and a slate roof, rising four storeys with a basement and a later dormered attic in a mansard style. The building has a stone plat band at the first floor and a stone bracketed cornice at the third floor, topped with a parapet that has coping. It is four windows wide, with original glazing bar sash windows set beneath flat gauged brick arches. To the left, there is a 19th-century stone Doric portico, which frames a square-headed doorway with a fanlight and a panelled door. The property is also adorned with wrought iron area railings and an early 19th-century cast iron balcony at the first floor.
