Description

Numbers 28 and 30 are a pair of mid-19th century houses, accompanied by a front garden wall and gatepiers. The buildings are constructed of brick and stucco, featuring a channelled ground floor and a concealed roof. They rise three storeys with a basement and consist of six bays, with recessed bays on the sides. The bay for No 30 has two storeys, while No 28 has three. The outer bays of the main range project forward and include porches. No 28 has a projecting Tuscan porch with a panelled door and overlight, while No 30 features attached Tuscan columns, also with a panelled door and overlight. The houses have sash windows with margin lights and glazing bars, and the ground floor is adorned with channelled keyed lintels. The first floor has cornices on consoles, and there are floor bands present. A cornice with volutes is found on the outer bays. The front garden wall is stucco balustraded and includes gatepiers.
