Description
A pair of houses located on Warwick Avenue, dating from the mid-19th century. The properties are constructed of yellow-brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with stucco dressings. They have a Welsh slate roof. The houses are three storeys high, with a basement. The facade is arranged with four bays in a pattern of 1:2:1, featuring a central breakforward and narrow entrance bays on either side. A flight of steps leads to four-panel doors, each with an overlight set within an architrave and supported by a cornice on consoles. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, and margin lights on the first and ground floor center, all within architraves. Cornices are visible on the ground floor windows, and there is a sill band. The roof is hipped and overhangs. The houses are linked to No. 17 by a single-storey stucco block of three bays, with slightly projecting outer bays. The properties are included in the listing primarily for their group value.
