Description
Nos 9 and 11 Warwick Avenue are a pair of mid-19th century houses. They are built from yellow-brown brick in Flemish bond, with stucco dressings, and have a Welsh slate roof. The buildings rise three storeys and have a basement, featuring four bays arranged in a 1:2:1 pattern, with a central breakforward and narrow entrance bays on either side. There is a flight of steps leading up to double doors that have a divided overlight, set within an architrave under a cornice supported by consoles. The houses have sash windows with glazing bars, and tripartite windows on the ground and first floors in the centre. Architraves are present throughout, and there is a cornice on consoles above the centre windows on the ground floor, along with a sill band on the first floor. The roofs are hipped. These houses are included in the register for their group value.
