Description
No. 33 Bedford Street is a terraced house or chambers with shops, built around 1860, possibly designed by Charles Gray, who also designed the nearby No. 22 Henrietta Street, which closely resembles it. The building is constructed of stucco and features a slate roof. It showcases an Italianate style with Florentine Renaissance elements. The structure has four storeys and is two windows wide. The ground floor includes a wooden shop front with pilasters that support an entablature-fascia, flanked by enriched consoles, although the shop windows and doorway have been altered. The upper floors feature architraved sash windows, with the first-floor windows having console bracketed cornices and the third-floor windows adorned with keyed archivolt arches. The façade is topped with a bracketed cornice and a band of blue trefoils below.
