Description
Numbers 197 and 199 are a pair of semi-detached houses built in 1824. They are constructed of brick with a stucco basement and decorative stucco dressings, featuring a stone cornice and blocking course. The houses rise three storeys above a basement and each has three bays. There are steps leading up to stucco porches that are coupled in the center of the block. The windows have flat, gauged-brick arches and are sash style with glazing bars. The ground floor windows are longer and set within round-arched recesses that have moulded stucco impost blocks. A stucco sill band runs along the first floor. The interior has not been inspected. Additionally, there are cast-iron hand and area railings as subsidiary features.
