Description
Champion Cottage is an early 19th-century villa located on Champion Hill in Southwark. The building is constructed of yellow brick with a low-pitched, hipped slate roof. It is two storeys in height, with a three-bay arrangement, and features a contemporary one-story coach-house extension to the right. The central door is round-arched, adorned with fluted quarter columns, a moulded cornice head, and a radial fanlight. The sash windows, which have mostly renewed glazing bars, are set within very slightly cambered arches with gauged brickwork. The interior has not been inspected. The group value of the building lies in its contribution to the historic character of the area.
