Description
Numbers 27 and 28 Cannon Place are a pair of terraced houses dating to around 1820. They are constructed of stucco, with a parapet concealing the roof. The properties are four storeys high, with a basement level, and each has a single-window range. The ground floor is decorated with banded rustication. A flat-arched entrance is located in the outer bay, featuring an overlight framed by pilasters and a cornice. All windows are flat-arched and tripartite, with segmental bays on the ground, first, and second floors. The first floor features a bracketed balcony with cast-iron railings and French windows in each bay. A cornice sits above the second floor, and the original sash windows are present on both the ground and second floors. A secondary cornice and blocking course complete the exterior. The interior remains uninspected. Cast-iron railings with conical finials are present on the steps and area.
