Description

This is a pair of early 19th-century terraced houses located on the north side of Russell Square in Brighton. They are constructed of stucco, with the roof hidden behind a parapet. The houses are four storeys high, with a basement level, and have a one-and-a-half window range, sharing a blank central window between the two properties. They have a flat-arched entrance with an overlight and a panelled door of original design. All windows are flat-arched. A first-floor verandah is present with cast-iron railings, possibly replacements, featuring anthemion ornament. Second-floor windows are treated with a cornice supported on consoles. The building is completed with an entablature and parapet. The interior was not inspected during the listing process. Cast-iron area railings are present, finished with bud finials.
