Description
A pair of terraced houses, built around 1825. They were likely designed by Amon Wilds and Charles Augustine Busby. The houses are stucco-faced with a tiled roof.
They are three storeys high, with a basement, and each has a two-window facade. The ground floor is decorated with banded rustication. A round-arched entrance, with a fanlight, is set back under a simple round-arched porch within the recessed outer bay. The main frontage of both houses is flanked by large, detached Ionic pilasters. All windows have flat arches. There is a decorative band between the ground and first floors. The first-floor windows are set back under a round arch with a springing band, and have bracketed balconies with cast-iron railings. A sill band runs along the second-floor windows, which have sashes of original design. The eaves are boxed, and a hipped roof sits atop the structure, with stacks built into the party walls.
The interior was not inspected. Cast-iron area railings and gates with a complex design, characteristic of the mid-to-late 19th century, are present.
