Description
Numbers 43 and 44 Norfolk Road are a pair of early 19th-century terraced houses. They are constructed of stucco, with a parapet concealing the roof. The buildings are three storeys high, with a basement, and feature a single-window range. A flat-arched entrance is accessed by a flight of steps, incorporating pilasters, an architrave, a stepped blocking course, and overlight. To the right of the entrance are three-storey bays, flanked by pilasters, with flat-arched window groupings on all floors, utilising sashes of their original design. Number 43 has a first-floor bracketed balcony featuring cast-iron railings with anthemion ornament. Additional details include a stepped frieze, a moulded cornice, and chimney stacks within the party wall. The interior has not been inspected. Cast-iron area railings, topped with spearhead finials, are attached to the property.
