Description
This is an early 19th-century terrace of ten properties, numbered 202 to 218, on the west side of South Lambeth Road. Each building is three storeys high with a basement, and has two windows. The terrace is constructed of stock brick with a parapet. Numbers 210 to 214 are taller, and feature a stone plaque reading "MAWBEY PLACE." The windows are sash windows, mostly with glazing bars, set within stucco-lined reveals and topped with gauged flat brick arches. Number 210 has patterned cast iron balconies on its first floor. The front doors are six-panel doors, each with a cornice head, a patterned radial fanlight, and situated under a round gauged brick arch with impost blocks. Number 202 has a late 19th-century shop front which obscures the original ground floor, but it is included in the listing as part of the group value. Number 214 has a modern porch.
