Description

This is an early 19th-century terrace of houses located on the west side of South Lambeth Road. The terrace comprises numbers 282 to 298 (even). Constructed of stock brick with a parapet front, some rebuilding has occurred at the upper levels. Each house has three storeys and two windows. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within stucco-lined reveals and topped with gauged flat brick arches. The entrances feature six-panel doors under round gauged brick arches with impost blocks. These entrances are contained within slightly projecting brick panels, which are finished with a mutuled cornice. Above each door is a cornice head and a fanlight, which is typically of a radial patterned design.
