Description
29 and 31 Ripplevale Grove are semi-detached houses built between 1839 and 1841. They are constructed of yellow brick laid in Flemish bond, with stucco dressings. The roof of number 29 is covered in Welsh slate, while number 31 has an asbestos slate roof. The houses rise three storeys over a half-basement, each featuring two windows. The basement is stuccoed. The entrance is flat-arched and includes an overlight and a panelled door that is of original design. All windows are flat-arched with gauged brick heads, and the ground floor windows are set back under elliptical arches of gauged brick. These arches are connected by a springing-cum-storey band and have window guards. There is a second-floor window in the gabled return, boxed eaves, and a stack on the party wall.
