Description
The Mortuary Chapel of Conde de Bayona Marques de Misa is a freestanding mausoleum located 15 yards southwest of the chapel in St Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery. Built in the later 19th century, it features a Gothic architectural style with whitewashed stone and a tall pitched roof covered in fishscale tiles. The entrance is pointed arched with moulded jambs and a timber door that has intersecting tracery. There are two pointed windows on the sides, adorned with stained glass. The gables are flanked by elaborate ironwork finials. The chapel is set within a railed forecourt that includes intricate foliated wrought ironwork and a simple tiled floor.
