Description
1 Clapton Terrace, known as The Vicarage, and 2 Clapton Terrace are a mid-19th century terrace of three houses, each with three storeys, an attic, and a basement, featuring two windows. The buildings are constructed of stock brick and have stucco cill bands on the first and second floors, along with a frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The basements are also stuccoed. The roofs are slated mansards with dormers. The sash windows have moulded architraves, with some retaining their glazing bars. The doors are four-panel and set within modified entablature surrounds. There are tall wrought-iron area railings and handrails leading to the door terraces. The terrace has group value with the Church of St Thomas and the adjacent houses numbered 1 to 17.
