Description
White Lodge is an early to mid-19th century substantial villa located in Springfield Park, E5. The building is two storeys high and features five windows, with a stucco exterior. It has a fairly low pitched hipped slate roof with eaves soffit. The windows are recessed sash types with glazing bars. A central Doric porch supports a four-panel door that has a Greek key pattern ornament in the panels and on the pilasters that separate it from the sidelights. Above the door, there is a cornice head and a wide, patterned fanlight that also incorporates the Greek key design. The garden front includes casement windows, with four on the first floor and three in each of the two round bows on the ground floor.
