Description

This is a mid-19th century villa of two storeys and a basement, situated at 97 Larksall Rise. The building has three windows across the front and is notable for its large proportions. It is constructed of stucco with incised lines, featuring a modillion cornice and a tall parapet incorporating balustraded sections. The windows are sash windows; those on the upper floor have glazing bars, while the lower windows are tripartite and have console bracketed cornices. A segmental pediment sits above the centre window on the first floor, while the ground floor is crowned with a triangular pediment. There are nine steps leading to a four-panel door, which is set within a moulded architrave and has a rectangular fanlight above. A heavy, prostyle porch, with a modillion cornice and a balustraded balcony above, completes the entrance.
