Description
This is an 1840 villa of two storeys and a basement, situated on Blackheath Park. The building is constructed of multicoloured brick with a stuccoed front. It has a hipped roof, of a moderately low pitch, with paired brackets to the eaves soffit. Two large, modern square dormers have been added to the roof. A decorative frieze of palmette and anthemion mouldings runs along the façade. The sash windows, retaining their glazing bars, have been replaced. The ground floor windows are set within square recesses and have console bracketed cornices. A cast iron handrail leads to seven steps rising to a prostyle Doric porch with fluted columns and pilasters. The front door consists of four panels, with two glazed sections.
