Description
No 101 Blackheath Park is a villa built around 1840, featuring 2½ storeys and five windows. The building has a low pitched, hipped slate roof with deep eaves soffits. It is constructed from multicoloured stock brick with stucco dressings. A heavy entablature above the first floor is supported by four stuccoed giant pilasters that extend above the cornice to the eaves. The first floor of the central bay is set back, creating a loggia with a balustrade above the entrance. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are topped with gauged, flat brick arches and are set in wood lined reveals, although some sashes have been replaced. External louvred shutters have been added to both the ground and first floors. The ground floor windows feature moulded cornices. The entrance is framed by pilasters and an entablature, leading to a half-glazed double door that is well set back.
