Description
Number 6 Blackheath Park is a villa built in the second quarter of the 19th century. It is two stories high and features three windows. The gable-ended slate roof has overhanging eaves. The exterior is made of yellow stock brick, with a stuccoed basement and a cill band at the first floor. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are topped with gauged, very shallow segmental brick arches. There are five steps leading up to the entrance door, which has four panels (two of which are glazed) and is topped with a cornice head and a rectangular fanlight. The doorcase, which includes a moulded architrave, panelled pilasters, a pulvinated frieze, and a cornice on scrolled carved brackets, is of an earlier date than the house and appears to have been imported. Number 6 forms a group with Number 8.
