Description
Nos. 3 and 4 Cresswell Park are a pair of houses dating from around 1830 to 1840. They are three storeys high with a basement, and each has two windows, plus a two-storey, one-window entrance extension. The roofs are slated, with a moderate pitch and overhanging eaves. The roofs appear to sit high, implying a possible re-fronting of a house from around 1700.
The houses are stuccoed, with a wide band at the first-floor sill level. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set in plain reveals. One entrance has a double door consisting of six panels, a cornice head and a semi-circular fanlight, within a deep reveal. The moulded architrave rests on egg-and-dart moulded impost blocks above key-patterned pilasters; these are framed in an Ionic order with attached, fluted columns and a key pattern frieze. There are nine steps leading up to the door.
Nos. 3 and 4 Cresswell Park are part of a group of listed buildings.
