Description
No 48 Blackheath Park is a house dating from around 1840. It has two storeys and a sunk basement, featuring two wide bays. The exterior is finished in stucco, topped by a low-pitched, hipped roof that is slated. A pedimented gable sits over the slightly projecting right bay. On the first floor of this bay, there is one central window flanked by two narrow windows, all of which are replaced sashes with glazing bars. The central window has a moulded architrave and louvred shutters. The left bay has one window on each floor that is similar in style. The ground floor of the right bay features a tetrastyle Ionic porch, which is complemented by Doric pilasters on the rear wall. Within this porch, inner pilasters flank side windows that have decorative glazing, with a moulded stucco frieze above.
