Description

The building at 47-51 Blackheath Park dates to approximately 1840 and presents a unified design. The central section, numbered 49, is three storeys high with a basement, featuring three windows and projecting slightly forward. It has a low-pitched, slate hipped roof. The side sections, numbered 47 and 51, are two storeys high with an attic and basement, each featuring two windows. They have gable-ended slate roofs, incorporating a hipped dormer in the inner bay and a small window beneath deeply overhanging eaves in the outer bay. The fronts are stuccoed. All windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set in plain reveals, with the exception of recently installed, rounded oriel bays on the ground floor, situated on either side of the doorway to number 49. The central section of number 49 is slightly recessed. The ground floor windows of numbers 47 and 51 are set within square-headed recesses. Each property has seven steps leading to a prostyle porch: numbers 47 and 51 feature plain, square columns, while number 49 has fluted, round columns. A garage has been inserted into the basement on the right side of number 49.
