Description
6 Clapton Terrace is a late 18th-century house that has been significantly altered in both the early and late 19th century. It is three storeys tall with an attic and features three windows. The ground floor is constructed of stock brick, while the first floor is roughly rendered. The second floor has been replaced with a high-pitched tiled roof that includes three gabled dormers, which have a late 19th-century appearance. On the first floor, there are early 19th-century recessed sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor windows are similar and set within moulded architraves. The late 19th-century arched entrance is made of bright red brick and includes a set-back door with sidelights and a fanlight. The building has group value with the Church of St Thomas and Nos 1 to 17 Clapton Terrace.
