Description

This is a terrace of eight houses located on the south side of Belsize Lane, dating from the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco, with slate roofs featuring projecting bracketed eaves and brick slab chimney stacks built into the party walls. They are three storeys high, with basements. Each house has two windows.

The entrances are round-arched and recessed, with rosette-patterned architraves. The doorways have pilaster jambs supporting cornice heads, overlights, and panelled doors, approached by steps with cast-iron railings. The windows are sash windows; the upper floors have margin glazing. The ground floor sashes have rosette-patterned architraves, console-bracketed cornices, and cast-iron window guards. The first-floor sashes are also architraved, with console-bracketed segmental pediments featuring foliated tympani and linked by continuous cast-iron balconies. The second-floor sashes have lugged sills and are flanked by enriched eaves brackets. The interiors have not been inspected.
