Description

This is a detached house dating from circa 1889, designed by Harry Measures and built by William Willett & Son. The ground floor is built of red brick, while the upper floors are yellow brick with red brick dressings and pilasters at the corners. The roof is tiled, with hipped and gabled sections, dormers, and tall brick chimney stacks. The design is asymmetrical.

The house is three storeys high, with an attic and a semi-basement. The window arrangement is irregular, with three windows across the front. The windows have shaped flat arches; those on the upper floors have glazing bars to the top lights. The right-hand entrance bay features a porch with a gabled hood supported by brick brackets, and a plaster relief decoration to the apex. To the left, a narrow bay is followed by a four-light canted bay window, rising through the first floor. The first floor has a balustrade, flanking a chimney breast that rises through the second floor and a crow-stepped gable. The second floor on the right features a tile-hung recessed bay with a balustrade. Bracketed terracotta beneath the balustrade runs across the façade. The left-hand first floor windows are set forward with a balustrade. The gable has terracotta coped eaves and rosette patterning to the apex, with a finial. The interior has not been inspected. Drawings by Measures date from 1889.
