Description

This barn, located 200 yards north of Watermill Farmhouse, dates from the 16th and 17th centuries. It features three bays and is constructed with a timber frame that is weatherboarded, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The north side has a projecting cart entry with a gabled roof. The long walls display studding without a middle rail, and there are long arched braces supporting the tie-beams. The roof is a clasped purlin design that lacks principal rafters. The bay at the eastern end is a later addition.
