Description
Place Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that stands two storeys high with attics. The building features a timber frame, with a red brick front from the mid-19th century and plastered panels on the sides and rear. It has a plaintiled roof adorned with mid-19th century carved barge-boards on the gables. Inside, there is an internal chimney stack with a plain shaft and a lobby entrance. The farmhouse has three-light casement windows with arched heads and two gabled dormers that have barge-boards matching those on the roof. There is a 20th-century brick porch at the front. At the rear, there is possibly an older two-storey timber-framed and plastered cross-wing. The farmhouse is situated in an isolated position.
