Description
The School House is a school building from the mid-19th century, constructed slightly later than the adjacent school, and is located at the southwest corner of the school. It has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall. The exterior is made of rubble flint, featuring composition stone quoins and dressings, topped with slate roofs. An internal chimney stack is notable for its five elaborately decorated shafts made of cream-coloured terra-cotta, which include crenellated caps, fluted shafts, and bulbous, moulded bases. The windows are designed with narrow lights set between heavy composition stone mullions, with four lights on the ground storey and three and two lights on the upper storey.
