Description
Ivydene is an 18th-century cottage located on the west side of Up Street in Bardwell. The building is two storeys high and features a timber frame with plaster, topped by a black glazed pantiled roof. It has end chimney stacks positioned within the gable ends. The cottage includes three-light casement windows, with two on the ground floor that have a single bar across the lights, and two on the upper floor that feature square leaded panes in the outer lights. There is a 20th-century half-glazed door and a gabled porch that has slatted wooden sides, a finial at the gable, and a carved cross-beam designed as a broken pediment. Ivydene is included for its group value.
