Description

The Cottage is a 17th-century house located on Bardwell Spring Road. It is 1½ storeys tall, constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a thatched roof and featuring an internal chimney stack. The layout consists of three cells with a lobby entrance. The house has 19th-century two-light casement windows. Inside, the room to the west of the chimney stack displays exposed joists set flat, along with a main beam that has stop and bar details. The other two rooms have exposed joists set on edge, and there is no middle rail in the frame.
