Description

Holly House is a house dated 1866, located on the north side of The Green in Bardwell. It features a late 19th century extension on the west side that uses matching materials. The building is 1½ storeys tall and constructed from kidney flints, with red brick quoins and dressings, topped by a black glazed pantiled roof. A flint and brick porch with an arched doorway leads into the house. There are three windows, which are three-light casements with transoms and small, square-leaded panes in the top lights, dating from around 1900. The house has three gabled dormers, each with smaller, similar casements. Ornamental bargeboards with finials adorn the gable ends, dormers, and porch. At the west end, there is an attached coach house and stable with a room above, built at the same time as the extension and using the same materials.
