Description

Mushroom Cottage is a 17th-century farmhouse located in Boughton Aluph. It features a timber frame that is clad in red brick, topped with a plain tile roof. The building has one storey and an attic, which includes four dormers, with the left dormer situated in a 20th-century hipped crosswing. The entrance is a lobby entry with a central stack and an end stack to the left, consisting of four bays that have 19th-century wood casements, a 20th-century door, and a hipped porch. There are 20th-century additions to the right that do not have special interest. Inside, there is an original cellar located at the rear of the right-hand bay.
