Description

This is an aisled barn located to the east of Boughton Corner Farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, topped with a plain tile roof that features 20th-century roof lights. The entrance is now situated in the end bay at the rear of the barn. Inside, the barn consists of seven bays with aisles and a clasped purlin roof. The left end bay has been converted internally into accommodation for farmworkers in the 19th century. Additionally, there is an 18th-century hay barn with two bays that forms the end wing to the right.
