Description

This barn, located 10 meters north of Valley Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century and has a later extension at the east end. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, topped with a pantiled roof. The original structure consists of five bays, featuring a central entrance bay. The easternmost bay was originally floored and is separated from the other four bays by a boarded partition. The barn has a well-preserved frame, with three open trusses, two of which still have their arched braces. The roof includes clasped and butt purlins, with arched wind bracing in between. Additionally, there is a later lean-to on the north side.
