Description
This barn, located immediately to the north-east of Valley Farmhouse, dates from the late 16th or 17th century. It has a three-stead plan and features flint walls with brick dressings topped by a red pantiled roof. Originally, it was a two-storey house at the west end. The barn has a central cart entrance, with two additional structures to the east. On the west side, there are blocked doors and brick-dressed blocked windows, while a wooden mullioned window remains intact inside on the first floor. The interior is divided at the rear by an internal brick partition, which supports a first floor and loft. The roof includes tie beams, collars, and wind bracing, dating from the 17th century or earlier. There are lean-tos on both the north and south sides.
