Description

The White House, formerly known as Malthouse Farmhouse, is a 17th-century building. It features a plastered facade with flint and brick-dressed returns and a rear section. The structure consists of three bays and two storeys. On the ground floor, there are three wooden casement windows with two lights each. Above the six-panelled, part-glazed door, there is a pentice canopy. The first floor has three casement windows with three lights each. The roof is steeply pitched, with end parapets and stacks. The south gable includes a moulded brick mullioned window on the first floor, which is situated under a brick drip mould. At the rear, there is a gabled two-storey staircase wing.
