Description

Foxglove Cottage is a house dating from the late 16th century. It has one and a half storeys and a three-cell plan. The building is timber-framed, with the framing exposed on the front and rendered on the sides and rear. It features a pantiled roof and an internal chimney stack with a plain shaft. The windows are 20th-century casements, with two-light and three-light designs that have square-leaded panes, and there are two gabled dormers. The cottage has a 20th-century porch that provides a lobby entrance. The exposed framing includes widely-spaced studs and reversed braces.
