Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the 15th century, with extensions added in the 16th and 17th centuries to create a three-cell house. There are small additions from the 19th and mid-20th centuries. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof, and stands two storeys tall. It features various small casement windows, some of which have square-leaded panes. There is a boarded half-door in a small wing to the west. The cottage has an internal axial stack and an external stack on the north gable end. The interior has been modernised, but some of the framing is still exposed. The central section of the house is likely the oldest part, while the service cell to the north does not have a first floor.
