Description
The former dairy range, located immediately east of Brundish House, is now used as a farm outbuilding. It dates from the mid-16th century and has undergone some later alterations. The building is timber framed and weatherboarded, with a roof covered in corrugated iron sheeting. It stands two storeys high and consists of five bays, although the ground floor studding has been removed. On the south side, there are four original first-floor windows, three of which still have diamond mullions. There is also evidence of a ground floor diamond-mullioned window with a shutter slide at the west gable end. While the floor has been altered, the plain heavy joists in the second and third bays from the west are original. The roof remains intact, featuring clasped purlins and cranked wind-bracing. This building is included for its group value with Brundish House.
