Description
Old Hall Farmhouse is a former farmhouse, now divided into two dwellings, likely dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. The building consists of two parts: the main range to the south and a lower section adjoining at right angles to the northwest. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and features pantiled roofs, with concrete tiles on the south range. The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics.
The north range, which is said to have been used as a dairy, has two windows with casements set under segmental arches; the left-hand windows have replacement mullions within the original frames. There is a central boarded door and crowstepped gables, with the right gable featuring an integral stack. The left gable includes one original window with chamfered mullions. Inside, the floor structures are exposed, showcasing plain square oak joists on the ground floor.
The south range also has crowstepped gables, although its roof appears to have been raised at a later date and includes gable stacks. The main front has various windows, including two square mid-20th century bays. Some panelling is reported to remain inside.
