Description
The White House is a former farmhouse, primarily built in the 18th century and constructed in at least two phases. It features colourwashed brick and has a continuous brick dentil eaves cornice. The building has a two-span hipped roof covered with black glazed pantiles and consists of two storeys and an attic. The main facade, which faces northwest, includes two 18th-century 3-light square-leaded casement windows set under segmental arches, with a central blank panel. The left ground floor window has been repositioned closer to the door. There is a central doorway, now blocked, that is flanked by panelled pilasters, a frieze, and a dentil cornice; the original door has been replaced with panelled woodwork. The building also features two 20th-century dormers. The road front has 20th-century square-leaded windows and an inset six-panelled door with a mid-20th-century open porch.
