Description
Brundish Lodge is a farmhouse dating from the early 19th century, with older elements at the rear. It features a white brick exterior and a hipped slated roof, standing two storeys tall with a three-bay facade. The entrance bay is slightly set forward and includes inset sash windows with glazing bars, all under flat brick arches. Above the doorway, there is a semi-circular headed window. The entrance door consists of six panels, with circular centre panels and a semi-circular fanlight that has ornamental glazing bars. A Roman Ionic porch with renewed fluted columns and a full entablature enhances the entrance. The building has a moulded wooden eaves cornice. The older part of the structure has a 16th-century core, originally timber framed but now much altered and encased or rebuilt in colourwashed brick. A part of a moulded-joist ceiling remains on the ground floor.
