Description

Rise Hall is a farmhouse dating from 1826. It is two storeys high and has three windows. The house is constructed of red brick, with broad, shallow pilasters set in from the corners. The central bay and flanking bays are slightly recessed, and feature windows with flat arches formed with gauged brick, containing small-pane sashes. The roof is hipped and covered in slate, with internal chimneys built of red brick. A deeply recessed entrance portico has a Roman Doric entablature; the cornice incorporates pacerae between mutules, and is supported by fluted pilasters. The panelled entrance door has a glazed upper section with small panes. An original lower service wing is located at the rear.
