Description

Eye Hall is a farmhouse dating back to the 16th century, with substantial alterations in the early 19th century. The main part of the house is brick, with a gault brick casing to the rear wing, and timber framing exposed inside. The roof is tiled, with a low-pitched hipped slate covering and side chimneys. The main front has three symmetrical bays, featuring a dentil brick cornice at the eaves. The ground floor windows are sash windows, hung in wooden pelmets and without glazing bars. A central half-glazed, six-panelled door leads to an open porch accessed by stone steps. Inside, the exposed wall and floor frames remain, along with a later brick chimney stack.
