Description

This barn, located 40 metres north-west of Overhall Farmhouse, dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It features five bays and has aisles at the rear, with a gabled midstrey in the centre bay. The structure is timber-framed and weatherboarded, topped with a corrugated iron roof that was previously thatched. Inside, it has a clasped-purlin roof and retains quite complete wind-braced studwork, with braces that are either straight or arch-shaped, along with near-straight arcade-braces.
